Who we are

ICanSolveIT is a business process automation consultancy operated as a sole trader by Mark Baker, trading as ICanSolveIT, of 81 Skipper Way, Paxton, Cambridgeshire, PE19 6LT.

You can contact us at mark@icansolveit.co.uk.

What information we collect

When you use the contact form on this website, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Any message you choose to include

We do not collect any other personal data through this website directly. We do not use cookies for our own tracking or analytics. We do not use any advertising.

If you use the Book a Call page, your booking data (name, email address, and chosen time slot) is collected and processed directly by cal.com, a third-party scheduling service. We do not receive or store this data ourselves — it goes directly to cal.com. The cal.com booking embed may also set cookies in your browser when it loads.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

We collect your name and email address solely to respond to your enquiry. We will not contact you for any other purpose without your explicit agreement.

The legal basis for processing this information under UK GDPR is legitimate interests — specifically, our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us with a business enquiry. We have assessed that this interest is not overridden by your rights and freedoms, given that you are voluntarily submitting the form and expecting a reply.

How long we keep it

We retain contact form submissions for up to 12 months. After that period, messages are deleted. If your enquiry leads to a working engagement, we may retain relevant contact details for the duration of that engagement and for up to 6 years afterwards for contractual record-keeping purposes.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

Your contact form message is delivered to us by email. Our email service is provided by Microsoft.

If you use the Book a Call page, your booking information is processed by cal.com as a data processor. Cal.com operates under its own privacy policy, which you can read at cal.com/privacy. We do not control how cal.com handles that data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your data at any time
  • Objection — object to how we use your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at mark@icansolveit.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page. The date at the top of the page will reflect when it was last revised.
